JOB SUMMARY |
This role will be responsible for researching comparable benefits and salaries for employees. They will be responsible for designing and ownership of the pay structure and ensure it complies with all state and federal regulations. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
· Create the compensation philosophy for the company. · Review all areas of compensation and determine programs to best retain employees, i.e. bonus, profit sharing, etc. · Create and update job descriptions for all positions within the organization and making sure each description lists actual tasks that the role implies · Communicate with employees and management to get a better understanding of the tasks, responsibilities and skills required for each position · Assesses the nature of each job to determine its tax status and adjusts compensation accordingly · Uses market surveys and market intelligence to determine if the salaries that the company offers for various roles are comparable to what similar companies are offering for similar roles · Collects data regarding employee productivity and cost analyses and uses it in employee salary negotiations · Collects data regarding employee benefits in various fields and recommends changes to company’s benefits policy based on their findings · Through quarterly benefits meetings, contribute to strategy goals based on cost drivers in the population to drive down costs · Facilitates employee enrollment in retirement plans and insurance coverage by working with insurance company and broker · Analyzes benefit spend to ensure company is reaching financial goals with our plans · Assembles and queries focus groups to collect employee feedback regarding various topics related to wages and benefits · Works with company’s management to determine the most effective practices for hiring, evaluating and compensating employees · Always be up to date with all state and federal regulations along with the latest industry developments and salary trends. · Create a structure that allows DEX to meet financial goals while ensuring we can attract the best-qualified employees while offering fair and competitive salaries; staying within the DEX pay capacity · Advises the company’s management regarding compliance with state and federal employment regulations, policies regarding compensation and human resources practices · Review trends in compensation to aid the company in making the best decision for company and retention of employees |
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY |
· Typically reports to: Director of Human Resources · Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management) |
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL REQUIREMENTS |
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools · Knowledge of compensation principles and practices, including FLSA and pay equity regulations. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. |

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or an equivalent of education and experience. · 4+ years of experience in compensation analysis, HR analytics, or a related field. · CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or related certification a plus. |
