PURPOSE

Responsible for development and design support, analysis, implementation, and administration of corporate compensation programs. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates, maintains controls and recommends enhancements or changes of all aspects of employee compensation and incentive plans administration. Prepares compensation analysis and recommendations for management. Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for coordinating end-of-year reporting in relationship to executive compensation including, but not limited to, annual proxy and other disclosure.
  • Provides support regarding administration of officer compensation and coordinates materials in relationship to Management Development Committee of the Board of Directors meetings.
  • Provides comprehensive analytical support and develops recommendations, including financial projections, for the design and administration of compensation programs, incentive programs, job evaluations, salary recommendations, and other detailed research projects.  Stays abreast of solutions in the market and provides ongoing insight to management for consideration.
  • Analyzes job responsibilities for new or modified jobs through interviews and internal/external market research.  Determines overall job worth, creates documentation, and partners with senior leaders, managers and HR Business Partners to implement.
  • Participates in wage and salary surveys. Provides data for surveys and reviews results to determine current pay trends. Prepares summaries for management and makes recommendations for merit budget and salary structure movement.
  • Provides guidance and consultation to HR business partners and managers, reviews exception recommendations, and provides resolution of complex problems or transactions. Represents team on cross-functional projects.
  • Creates and participates in presentations and training related to compensation. Consults and works with other HR units on overlapping human resource issues. 
  • Educates and partners with HR Business Partners to implement effective solutions that meet the specific challenges and needs of the business unit.
  • Conducts annual audits to ensure compliance of all compensation-related administration.

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

  • Salary administration, job evaluation, and compensation planning and analysis
  • Human resource principles and practices
  • Government regulations and laws related to the FLSA, compensation, and employment
  • Compensation plan design, administration and regulatory requirements
  • Incentive plan design and total rewards strategies
  • MS Office Suite applications, especially EXCEL, WORD
  • Human Resource Information Systems operation, preferably Workday
  • Analytical and statistical orientation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and consultative skills
  • Training and presentation
  • Completion of the CCP certification/designation preferred
