Key Position Details:

Job Description:

Designs, implements and delivers comprehensive compensation consulting services to assigned internal client groups. Consults and partners with Human Resources Business Partners, Human Resources Shared Services, other Human Resources centers of excellence and system leaders to provide advice, options and consultation regarding matters relating to provider compensation plans and arrangements. Through application of established compensation strategy and philosophy this position designs, develops and implements system-wide solutions to ensure the organization attracts, retains and motivates top talent. Effectively leads and drives complex system-wide compensation projects to ensure the organization’s strategic objectives are achieved.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides subject matter expertise and serves as the market expert regarding specific provider compensation issues and projects.
    • Serves as primary compensation contact for assigned internal client groups to provide advice, direction and guidance on broad compensation matters.
    • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation plans and arrangements, ensuring that they are competitive, cost effective, and aligned to support the organization’s business strategy.
    • Manages and conducts provider specialty evaluations; analyzes job responsibilities, requirements and organizational structures to recommend internal compensation plans that are competitive and equitable; ensures compliance with wage and hour laws including Fair Labor Standard Act and other federal and state regulations along with compliance to the Physician Compensation Policy; prepares and maintains appropriate documentation for all job evaluations and classifications.
    • Leads system-wide compensation projects, including responsibility for designing, maintaining and driving the project roadmap; ensures project outcomes ultimately attract, motivate and retain employees; ensures projects meet legal requirement, compliance standards and strategic objectives; manages stakeholder communications, project governance, and project tracking.
    • Conducts complex data analysis, advanced calculations and prepares reporting; describes, summarizes and effectively communicates complex data.
    • Serves as a peer reviewer and mentor of less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, with an emphasis in human resources, finance, economics, or statistics.
  • 7+ years of related experience in human resources or compensation


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business or related field

Pay Range

Pay Range: $47.22 to $65.34 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
