In this position, you will plan, implement, and facilitate the management of the compensation practices and policies of Texas Children's for staff and/or physicians. Provides technical expertise on compensation practices, innovations, and legal practice.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree In Business, Human Resources, Or Related Discipline Preferred
- 2 years required in Human resources, business, finance, analyst, or healthcare operations experience
- Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional by WorldatWork is preferred
- Would like someone that can work independently and as a part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Leads projects and market studies from inception to implementation, including analysis of data, salary recommendations, cost projections, presentations, and communication plans, in accordance with the project timeline
- Coaches’ leaders on clarifying and improving job design, organizational structure, career paths, job functions, qualifications, and communication of Texas Children’s compensation philosophy while evaluating consistency with organizational standards and job classification guidelines by requested deadlines
- Accumulates and analyzes relevant market data on pay practices, programs, and economic trends as needed
- Ensures library of relevant survey sources Participates in and/or guides other team members in the participation of surveys according to survey publication deadlines
- Develops training programs and communications for the development of leaders throughout the organization on such topics as compensation education and current compensation programs/issues by requested deadlines
- Designs new or revises current programs and policies. Prepares recommendations to Director or other reviewing authority, and resolves problems by the agreed-upon deadline
- Develops and monitors audits and prepares ad hoc, and system reports and programs as needed and by requested deadlines
- Lead projects and market studies from inception to implementation, including analysis of data,

- Coach leaders on clarifying and improving job design, organizational structure, career paths, job functions qualifications, and communication of Texas Children’s compensation philosophy while evaluating consistency with organizational standards and job classification guidelines by requested deadlines
- Evaluate new and existing jobs using a market-based job evaluation system, which includes analyzing appropriate market data and internal slotting comparisons
- Present recommendations to the leadership as appropriate
- Prepare annual compensation budget recommendations and presentations to executive leadership in accordance with project timeline
- Research market trends and data to project compensation needs
- Analyze the organization's current market position through the completion of an annual benchmark analysis by established deadlines
- Identify below-market jobs and recommends appropriate market adjustments
- Recommend pay-for-performance guidelines and educates leaders on effective rewards strategies
- Ensures that accurate merit increase/performance review notification materials are distributed by HR Assistant/Comp Analyst prior to and overdue review notification materials following the merit review date
- Approve or take steps to resolve issues with merit increases
