PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Compensation Analyst will provide specialized support to the CFO and other executive stakeholders, focusing on headcount reporting, compensation analysis, and bonus payout data. The Compensation analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely reports. These outputs will support decision-making and strategic planning efforts across the organization.
This position will work closely with the CFO to establish and maintain streamlined mechanisms for tracking and reporting compensation-related data, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and maintaining well-organized filing systems for compensation records.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
- Work closely with the CFO and CHRO and other stakeholders to support the development and implementation of salary administration, compensation policies, and variable pay plans (e.g., merit, annual bonuses, sales incentives, etc.) on a global basis.
- Compile salary survey submission files, perform global job matching, responsible for market pay system maintenance and administration, ensuring accurate market data and internal data validation. Responsible for auditing data on a regular basis.
- Partner closely with the global HR team to produce and audit regular global headcount reports circulated to the Executive team.
- Maintain and update compensation matrix, reflecting relevant job bands, salary and bonus information, updating as needed for new roles and changes to existing roles, ensuring consistency among functions.
- Compile and maintain a database of productivity metrics for revenue generating employees (e.g. tracking consignments and sales by specialist)
- Execute global annual compensation review and semi-annual sales incentive reviews, by working collaboratively with the CFO, CHRO, Payroll, and HR team members, including building and maintaining the databases used to calculate the amounts and generate individual employee communications.
- Analyze cost implications of annual salary and bonus reviews.
- Act as a main contact to the Finance and HR teams for day-to-day compensation matters.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain complex Excel reports to support data analysis.
- Prepare quick ad hoc reports as needed.
- Coordinate and assist with projects as needed.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- 2 to 4 years of previous experience within compensation function at a global company, including incentive compensation, preferred.
- Must have strong quantitative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for reporting purposes to senior executives and/or Shareholders.
- Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
- Must have advanced level Microsoft Excel skills, report writing, creating dashboards, VLOOKUP, Index Match, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting and Macros experience.
- Adept at learning customized computer systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Proficiency in HRIS systems.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work with strict deadlines, under high-pressure situations, and remain calm in stressful situations; ability to prioritize and adjust with change.
- Proactive with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to use good judgment, be discreet and highly trustworthy, and demonstrate ethical conduct.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or equivalent field, or equivalent experience, required.
- Certifications in compensation from an accredited association, a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hybrid role, with 3 days per week in the New York office.
- Flexibility to work across timezones with global colleagues.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The annual salary range for this role is $90,000-100,000.
